Eva was the daughter of Frank Henry and Elizabeth Hess. Along with her parents and siblings she immigrated to the United States in 1842; the family settle in Louisville, Kentucky. On 28 Nov 1854 she married Theodore Middendorf and they had six children: Rose, Mary, Elizabeth, Frank, Annie and John. Eva died of enterocolitis at the age of 83.
