J. E. Yeager was my mother's father. He married Callie Luvenia Howard on March 29, 1914.

John E. Yeager

Last rites were held here Tuesday afternoon for Mr. John E. Yeager of Vaiden. Mr. Yeager was born March 5, 1875. He passed away Sunday afternoon. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Callie Yeager, 5 daughter, 4 sons, several grandchildren, a host of nieces & nephews. His children who live in many different states were all in attendance except 1 son, Floyd, who was snow bound in Minnesota. Rev. C.E. Burden officiated. Jordon Funeral Home was in change of arrangements.

Last rites were conducted at Hebron Baptist church Dec. 14 for John Eldridge Yeager, well known farmer of the Carmack community, who died at his home there after an illness of two years. He was 79. He was the son of the late Ruben and Jane Yeager, and was born in the Edinburg community. He had lived at Carmack most of his life. Funeral services were in charge of Rev. C. E. Burden. Burial was in Hebron cemetery under the arrangements of Jordan Funeral Home.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Callie Howard Yeager, of Carmack; four daughters: Mrs. H. E. Hancock, Itta Bena; Mrs. B. N. Thompson, Jackson; Mrs. B. M. Dobbins and Mrs. Warren Lewis, Houston, Texas; four sons: R. J. Yeager, Vicksburg; Floyd Yeager, Monticello, Minn.; R. S. Yeager, Vicksburg; John R. Yeager, Houston, Texas.; 25 grandchldren, one great-grand child.
