Virginia and West Virginia. where he worked as a coal miner in Glen Rogers, West Virginia. he came to Columbus Ohio in 1952 where he met and married his wife Dora, of 36 years. Russell enjoyed the excitement of thoroughbred racing and anxiously looked forward to sharing jokes and tall tales.with his sons and friends along the rail at his favorite tracks.Russell leaves behind many family members and friends his wife Dora who we called Momma Tyree is pictured at right she has now joined him in heaven.
