JUNE M. JOHNSON, 84 ROCKFORD - June M. Johnson, 84, of Rockford died at 5:52 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Provena Cor Mariae Rehabilitation Center, after a lengthy battle with COPD. Born June 2, 1926, in Rockford, she was the youngest of 11 children born to Fred and Ellen (Lindblade) Johnson. Graduate of East High School, Class of 1945. Married Robert L. Johnson in 1946; he died July 7, 2002. She worked at J.L. Clark Manufacturing Co., for 20 years as a machine operator prior to her retirement. Predeceased also by daughter, Kathleen Harris; six brothers; and four sisters.

Special thanks to longtime family friend and nurse, Nancy Larson, and special friend, Bonnie Heyer, for assisting in June's care during her illness. Also thanks to the dedicated staff at Provena Cor Mariae for their care and compassion. Graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, in Scandinavian Cemetery, with the Rev. Donald Lavelle officiating.
