Prince Henri Philippe Pierre Marie d'Orléans, Count of Paris and Duke of France, was head of the House of Orléans as senior in male-line descent from Louis-Philippe I d'Orléans, who reigned as King of the French from 1830 to 1848. Henri was a retired military officer as well as an author and painter.

He was the first born son of Prince Henri Robert Ferdinand Marie d'Orléans, Count of Paris (1908-1999), and Princess Isabelle of Orléans-Braganza (1911-2003).

He had been married twice, first to Duchess Marie Therese of Württemberg and then to Micaela Cousiño Quiñones de León.

His first marriage produced 5 children:
1) Marie Isabelle Marguerite Anne Geneviève d'Orléans (b. 1959)
2) François Henri Louis Marie d'Orléans (b. 1961 - d. 2017), Count of Clermont
3) Blanche Elisabeth Rose Marie d'Orléans (b. 1962)
4) Jean Charles Pierre Marie d'Orléans (b. 1965), Duke of Vendôme and Dauphin de Viennois
5) Eudes Thibaut Joseph Marie d'Orléans (b. 1968), Duke of Angoulême
