Thomas was born to Mike Banning and Lelia Frances (Bedford) Banning. He married 3 times. His first wife was Laura L. Offenhouser and they married on Aug. 21, 1903, in a double ceremony with his mother and her 2nd husband. Thomas married second to Myrtle Pauline Flann on Aug. 6, 1910 in Santa Ana, CA. He married third to Florence B. Stewart. Research is underway to figure out the rest of his family.
