Funeral services for Ellis “E.J.” Armand, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Lone Pine Assembly of God Church with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Cottonport. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Armand, age 78 of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis John, Sr. and Olive Rachal Armand; his sister, Diane Oneisha; his brother, Glen Armand; and son-in-law, Philip Montalvo.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Barbara Laborde Armand of Bunkie; his daughters, Mojave Suitt (Clayton) of Tucson, AZ, Nicole Armand of Tucson, AZ, Yolanda Ferguson (Leo) of Bunkie, Cheraka Montalvo of Bunkie and Felicia Brodnax of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Skye Suite, Kelsi Davis (Clayton), Taylor Brodnax, Kayleigh Montalvo, Kassadi Ferguson (Hunter), and Ian Montalvo; and his great-grandchildren, Karter Bordelon and Isaiah Davis.
