Aaron Joseph Ormsby, 21, of Meriden, CT passed away on January 17, 2019. Aaron was born in New Haven, CT on March 11, 1997 the beloved son of Jacqueline Slay and Joseph Ormsby.

Aaron was educated in the Meriden Public School System attending Orville H. Platt High School. As a youth, he participated in the Meriden Raiders Football League as well as basketball leagues at the Meriden YMCA and Meriden Boys and Girls Club. He also was a member of the Marine Cadets of America, 1st Bn, Co. A, New Haven, Recruit Training Platoon 157. In his spare time he enjoyed drawing; mainly portraits.

Aaron loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was bright, inquisitive and adventurous. Once while visiting Disney World’s Animal Kingdom his curious nature led to an urgent visit to the First Aid Unit after a particularly exotic plant caught his eye. Can you say “HIVES”! That was our Aaron. He was much loved and will be deeply missed.

Besides his parents Aaron leaves to cherish his memory his 2 year old son Denairo Ormsby, the love of his young life; Jasmine Korb, maternal grandparents Willa and Ulysses Baskin, maternal aunt Stephanie Slay, first cousins Benjy (Veronica) Nichols, Jacqueline Simone Brown, Gianteﹶ Streater, Gregory Baskin, (honorary cousin) Gianna Streater and second cousins Ayvah and Maliyah Nichols as well as a host of other family and friends.

Aaron was predeceased by his maternal uncle Gregory Baskin.
