Peyton Ryan Chappell, 18, of Groves, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019. Peyton was born February 9, 2000 in Port Arthur, Texas to Chad Chappell and Rachel East. He graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School with honors and was an employee of HEB. Peyton had a passion for basketball, music and playing video games. He was a bright and fun loving person with a huge heart. Peyton was quick-witted and enjoyed cutting up with friends and family.
Peyton leaves behind his father, Chad Chappell; mother, Rachel East; siblings, Will Castille and Duston Chappell; 2 nieces; 1 nephew and a host of friends and relatives to cherish his memories.
A gathering of friends and family will be Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
