She was survived by her husband, Alex Barnett (married March 23, 1933); her sons, David Barnett of Somerset, Kentucky, Douglas Barnett of Somerset, Kentucky, and Denton Barnett, U.S. Army, Fort Knox; her daughters, Betty Inabnitt of Somerset, Kentucky, Edith Hannah of Somerset, Kentucky, Thelma Jean Randall of Somerset, Kentucky, Lucy Merrick of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Nettie Whitis of Eubank, Kentucky; her brothers, Charlie Jones of Mt. Victory, Kentucky and Pete Jones of Mt. Victory, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jones and Nancy (Haynes) Jones; her son, Dennis Barnett; her brothers, Hayden Jones, Lewis Jones, and James Jones; and her sister, Angela Jones.
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 6, 1984 at Whetstone Baptist Church with Elder S.L. Sears and Elder Troy Merrick officiating.
Morris and Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
