On the morning of Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015, Mrs. Ayers went home to be with the Lord at the Bower’s Hospice House, following a long illness. She was 88 years old.

Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by; her son and daughter-in-law, Gilmer R. and Patricia S. Ayers of Eccles, her sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and Lawrence Stoots of Eccles. Those left to cherish her memory include; her husband of 72 years, Gilmer A Ayers of Eccles; sons, Charles Ayers and wife Naomi of Eccles; Kenneth Ayers and wife Helen of Fairdale; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ayers was a kind-hearted woman who had a strong passion and love for God. She began her service to the Lord on May 21, 1949, during this time she pastored many churches and dedicated her life to the will of God. She loved her family and it was her greatest wish that they all be saved and serve the Lord.

On Friday, March 6th at 1:00 pm we will honor the life of Mrs. Rujean Ayers with a “Service of Remembrance” at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Loretta Taylor will be officiating. Mrs. Ayers will be laid to rest in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. The family will receive friends at 11: am.

Grandsons, friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bower’s Hospice House, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802.
