HAROLD E. CHRISTIANSEN

Harold E. Christiansen, age 76, of 7626 Carstens Rd., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, Jan. 19, 2002, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Victor Headrick with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Harold was born December 27, 1925, in Valders, son of the late Harold and Isabelle Knutson Christiansen. On May 27, 1950 he married Bernice Carstens at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Harold was employed at the Manitowoc County Highway department and also at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Christiansen, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Paul Larsen, Oak Creek, Wis., and Nancy and Eldon Schnuelle, Eagle, Wis., nine grandchildren: Jenny Larsen, Sarah and Rev. Andrew Schwartz, Amy and Rev. Matthew Holtz, great grandchildren, Katelyn and Benjamin Schwartz, Madelyn Holtz; two sisters, Mildred Zannacke and Delores Jepsen, both of Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Jean Christiansen, Denmark. He is further survived by special friends, Ruth and Marvin Olson, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and John Christiansen and two brothers, Roger and Lawrence Christiansen.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at the Manitowoc Health Care Center for the care Harold received.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
