Karl A. Alber Jr., age 85, passed away at his home on Monday, May 29, 2006. He was born on April 11, 1921, in Waiblingen, Germany, the son of Carl and Anna (Stecker) Alber.

He was united in marriage to Adela Luetkens on June 28, 1947, in Loganville, and she preceded him in death on December 26, 2001.

Mr. Alber was a longtime resident of the Madison area. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Madison. He was employed as a machinist first with Madison Kipp Corp. for more than 20 years and then with Oscar Mayer Co. for 23 years until his retirement.

Karl was an accomplished bowler, golfer, woodworker, wood carver, fisherman and Euchre player.
