Teresa Gail Wade Simmons, 49, of Mullens, died on Monday, February 2, 2009 at a Beckley hospital.

Born March 11, 1959 in Mullens, she was the daughter of Lindy C. Wade of Princeton and the late Oberita Hazelwood Wade.

Teresa was a lifelong resident of Mullens. She was a 1977 graduate of Mullens High School and a graduate of Wyoming County Technical Center School of Cosmetology. She enjoyed every minute of life and lived for her family. She had many friends in the Mullens area and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Teresa currently worked for Integrated Resources of Maben, a home health agency. She had cared for others in home health occupations, having worked many years for Southern Highlands in Mullens.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Macie Lucas Hazelwood and her paternal grandparents, Claude T. and Lema Philpott Wade.

Those left to cherish her memory include her companion, E. Q. Nicholson, of Mullens; children, David Simmons and special friend, Julie, of Charleston and Dustin Nicholson of the home; a grandchild, Zachary Simmons, of Charleston; three sisters, Sandra Blankenship and her husband, Luther, of Lynchburg, Va., Susie Morgan and her husband, Dean, of Princeton, and Annette Presley and her husband, Stanley, of Shady Spring; and loving nieces and nephews, Wendy, Lee, Noel, Sissy, Jacob, Brian, and Chris.

Burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
