Ressie Marie Anderson age 85 of Paint Lick, died Monday Jan. 28, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ressie was born in Livingston, KY, to the late Robert and Anna Kirby Carpenter, she is widowed by her late husband William Anderson, and she was preceded in death by 3 sisters and two sons: Gary Wayne Anderson and Bobby Gene Carpenter.
Ressie is survived by her children: Ernie (Betty) Anderson, Shirley (Bobby) Houston, Phyllis Johnson, Harold (Linda) Carpenter, Billy (Wanda) Anderson, Larry (Sheila) Anderson, Jack Anderson, James (Pamela) Anderson, and Jim (Diana) Anderson; three brothers, Norman, Ronald, and J.T. Carpenter; and two sisters, Faye Miller and Dessie Himes. She is survived by 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday Jan. 31, 2019 at 11 am at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Hobbs officiating, burial will be in the Anderson Family Cemetery at Harmons Lick, pallbearers will be grandsons: Brandon Anderson, Steven Anderson, Nick Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Anthony Johnson, David Johnson, William Johnson and Richard Johnson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 pm at Lakes Funeral Home.
