PIONEER AT BENEDICT, MRS. ROBERTS, 96, DIES
Mrs. Fannie Fortner Roberts, 96, died at 3:40 pm yesterday at St. Margaret's Hospital, Fredonia, where she entered last Easter Sunday. She was the last of 11 children.
She was born October 24, 1858 at Decatur, Illinois. She married Joseph Roberts at Fredonia November 9, 1876 and he died in November of 1928. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Henry, 1926, and Clarence, 1943. Most of her life was spent in Benedict community.
Survivors are a son, John Roberts, Walker, MO, 2 daughters, Mrs. Ruth Good and Mrs. Etta Parker, Benedict, 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be Friday at Dunham Funeral Home and Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery.
