Louie Wayne Ingle, age 74 years, a resident of rural Tunnel Hill, Illinois and a former resident of Simpson, passed away Tuesday morning, January 29, 2019, at 3 AM at his home.

Wayne was born February 18, 1944 in Keiser, Arkansas. He was the son of Louie Winston Ingle and Madge Elaine (Glasgow) Ingle.

On January 11, 1963, Wayne was united in marriage to Connie J. Bebout in Batavia, Illinois. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2008.

In addition to his parents and wife, Wayne was preceded in death by: a brother and 3 sisters.

Wayne was employed as a correctional officer at the Shawnee Correctional Center near Vienna for 17 years prior to his retirement in 2001. Additionally, Wayne was a carpenter and self-proclaimed “Jack of all trades and master of none.”

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his ATV.

A service honoring the life of Louie Wayne Ingle will be conducted Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2019, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Matt Snell will officiate. Burial will be in the Webb Cemetery near Tunnel Hill, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, February 1, 2019, from 5 PM – 8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
