Mrs. Grace Ashby Bane of Hollyrood Apts., 31 Galloway Drive, Liverpool, died July 24 at Plaza Extended Care Facility after a long illness. Mrs. Bane was a department head at the Hotel Syracuse for 15 years, and was widely known by Syracusans as the manager of the former Dutch Coffee Shop in the hotel. She had been a sales representative for the Fahn Real Estatae Company, and had also been associated with Beauty Counselors, a cosmetics company. She was the widow of Ambrose Bane. Born in Camillus, she had resided in Syracuse for 35 years before moving to Liverpool 11 years ago. She was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Liverpool.

Mrs. Bane is survived by one son, Patrick W. Bane; by two daughters, Mrs. Paul T. Drew of Liverpool and Mrs. Maurice F. Davies of Fort Collins, Colorado; by five brothers, Harold and Gerald of Weedsport, Robert of Warm Springs, Virginia, Elliot Ashby of S. Onondaga and Arthur; and by three sisters, Mrs. Charles White of Woodbury, New Jersey, Mrs. Louise Nicholson of Syracuse and Mrs. Leo Hayes of Valders, Wisconsin. Funeral services were at Christ the King Church, where a mass of Christian burial was celebrated.
