Valentin Parks, 65, of 1717 24th St., Two Rivers, died early Sunday morning, March 14, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at New Hyde Park Funeral Home. The Rev. Alexander Hinno will officiate.
Mr. Parks was born May 21, 1916, at Tallin, Estonia, U.S.S.R., son of the late Paul and Mari Mannik Parks. He attended Military Academy, Estonia, attached to the Calvary(sic) Division. He came to the United States in 1939. In 1944, he entered United States Army serving during World War II. He married Frances Priegnitz Feb. 14, 1950, at Milwaukee. Mr. Parks worked in construction as a master pipe fitter in the Brooklyn, New York, area. He was a member of Plumbers Union Local 1 and Masonic Lodge of Brooklyn.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; two sons, Valentin Parks Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and Peter John Parks of Two Rivers; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Ekert of Carle Place, N.Y., and Miss Monica Parks of Kings Park, N.Y., and two grandchildren, Daniel Ekert and Rik Ekert. He was preceded in death by a sister.
