The marriage of Miss Aimee Marie Montgomery and Carl Leonidas Kelley was solemnized in Blue Ridge, Ga., July 18 (1932).
The lovely bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. C. L. Montgomery. She attended Jasper High school, Jasper, Ga., and Mary P. Willingham School for Girls at Blue Ridge. She and her mother have been making their home in Atlanta, having formerly lived in Talking Rock, Ga.
The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Kelley of Marietta. For the past several years he has made his home in Atlanta.
After a motor trip to points of interest in north Georgia and Tennessee, Mr. and Mrs. Kelley will make their home in Atlanta."
Excerpted from a newspaper clipping found in family Bible, probably from Atlanta Journal Constitution but no definite newspaper or date available.
=======================
Aimee Montgomery and Carl Leonidas Kelley had a baby which died. I was told by my father that this was the infant "Carl M. Kelley" in Town Creek Cemetery in Talking Rock, Pickens County, Georgia, the same cemetery Aimee's parents and sister are buried. My father and I saw this grave and Aimee's parents' graves when we walked through the cemetery back in the 1990's. However, this infant is being attached to another set of parents here on FAG currently, so there is some clarification/documentation needed further. Infant Carl M. Kelley's #25679063 grave stone is similar in style and material to Aimee's mother and sister's headstones.
Aimee and Carl divorced soon after their baby's death. Aimee later married William Barron after 1945, specific date unknown to me at this time.
