Linda L. Adams, 83, a longtime, well-known resident of Nesbit Street, Rocky Grove, died peacefully at on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca, with her family at her side following a period of declining health.

She was born February 5, 1935, in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: Roy and Yevetta Brown Heckathorn.

Linda was a graduate of Franklin High School and the former Spencer Hospital School of Nursing in Meadville.

She had worked for more than 30 years, in various departments, as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor at the former Franklin Hospital and Franklin Regional Medical Center.

She had served Sugarcreek Borough for many years, as an election poll worker.

Linda was an active and faithful member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin, where she was also a member of The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CD of A), Christian Mothers, and had volunteered her time, for many years, at St. Patrick Community Food Pantry.

Most important to her though, was her family, of whom she was always most proud. She cherished the fun times she was able to share with her large family and friends, and most especially, the time she was able to be a part of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives. She looked forward to attending their scholastic and sports activities.

She was married November 10, 1956, at St. Michael's Church in Greenville to George R. "Skip" Adams, who preceded her in death on January 26, 2011.

Linda is survived by her children: Steven R. Adams and wife, Beverly of Havelock, NC; Debra A. Bankston and husband, Guy of Palmerston North, New Zealand; Michelle M. Mahoney and husband, Patrick of Rocky Grove; Kimberlee Burkett, and significant other, Rodney Bullman, also of Rocky Grove; Patrick M. Adams and wife, Jill of Franklin and George E. Adams and wife, Mary Kay of Pittsburgh.

Also surviving are her grandchildren: Nikki Heasley and husband, Jason; Adam Mahoney and wife, Shannon; Daniel Mahoney and wife, Kirstin; Logan Bankston and wife, Brittany; Ashley Baughman; Steven Adams; Erin Lopez and husband, Rundell; Matthew Adams; Quincy Adams; Hayden Adams and Elizabeth Adams; in addition to her great-grandchildren: Ryder Mitchell, Raegan Heasley, Maddison Faunce, Ella Bankston, Emma Bankston, Hadassah Lopez and Allysah Snowden.

Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Phillips and by her brother, Norman J. Heckathorn.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in St. Patrick Church, with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor, presiding.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
