Gladys M. Gesser, age 75, of 15131 Saxonburg Road, Town of Mishicot, died Tuesday, December 12, 2000, at her residence.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2000, at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Rev. Joseph Coopmans will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery.

Gladys was born November 11, 1925, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Henry and Albertina Franz Sand. She has been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of the Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1943. She married Charles Gesser. The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage on November 25, 2000. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Mishicot for many years. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Gladys enjoyed playing cards and gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Todd Luce; Larrabee; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Patricia Gesser, town of Mishicot; four grandchildren, Holly and her fiance, Scott, Stacy, Adam, and Laura; her special little friend, Hannah; two sisters, Helen Bertler, Two Rivers, Ethel Sand, town of Two Rivers; one brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Evelyn Sand, town of Two Rivers; three sisters-in-law, Betty Sand, town of Two Rivers, Luella Sand, town of Two Rivers, Lillian (John) Roberts, Golden, Colo.; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Elmer, and Clarence Sand; one brother-in-law, Ralph Bertler; one sister-in-law, Florence Petri.

Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.

The Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
