Clara was born in North Mifflin Twp., Iowa Co., WI, a daughter of Herman and Mary (Leix) Frankle. She attended a rural country school at Hazel Dell and later graduated from Montfort High School. She also took a two year Teacher's course at Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa. She taught at Hazel Dell for a year and then was employed at the Citizens State Bank in Montford for six years. On 20 Sep 1923 she married William Mueller. They farmed at Rewey until 1936 when they moved to Mt. Hope, farming until they retired and moved to Fennimore in 1958. She is survived by a twin brother, Clarrence Trankle of Fennimore; Children, Dorothy Ferguson of Mount Hope; Lloyd (Kathleen) of Crystal Lake, IL; five grandchildren, Noel Ferguson, Rosalie (John) Everson, Eric Ferguson, Amy (Javier Placencial), Matt Mueller; three great grandchildren, Sommer,Alexandrea and Bryant Everson; also cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Herman; a sister, Lydia James; and twin granddaughters. Her husband, William died on July 21, 1977 and her son in law, Edward, on January 25, 1994.
