RAGNAR C. Ahlbom, 84, a resident of Lehigh Acres since 1983, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fl. Ragnar was born March 28, 1920 in Stokholm, Sweden to the late Cleas and Dagny (Anderson) Ahlbom. After moving to the United States and becoming a citizen, Ragnar proudly served his country with the U. S. Coast Guard during WWII. For many years he owned and operated his own floor covering business in Ripon, WI known as The House of Color. There he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish rite, and Shrine. He was also a member of the American Legion and DAV.

In addition to his parents Ragnar was preceded in death by two sons: Kenneth and William.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Audrey (Andersen) Ahlbom, Leigh Acres; one daughter: Ethel Dagny Coe, Madison, WI; one granddaughter and her husband: Faith and Mark Edgren, Wild Rose, WI; four great grandchildren: Hope, Chase, Forrest and Alyssa, Wild Rose WI; and one sister and brother-in-law; Inga and Jay Duke of Brighton, MI; also loving nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the Farley Funeral Home, corner of Lee Boulevard and Williams Avenue (enter from Williams Avenue), Lehigh Acres.
