Wanda Mae Brammer, 83, of Ironton, Ohio, gained her heavenly wings, Thursday, February 7, 2019, at a local nursing home facility. Mrs. Brammer was born October 20, 1935, a daughter to the late William and Chloe (Leonard) Friend. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gerald Brammer, who passed away August 12, 2010.

Mrs. Brammer was a graduate of Ironton High School. Mrs. Brammer worked for a short time out of the home as a typist for the Ironton Tribune and later a sales clerk for JC Penny's and Gablers Clothing Store, her true passion and love was being a Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Wife and homemaker. Mrs. Brammer was member of Central Christian Church, she was a part of the Church Choir, allowing her beautiful alto voice to spread the good news of her savior to others through music, she also, enjoyed singing in duets and with musical groups. She was active in her church and always held onto her faith in God. She always thought of her neighbors, and cared for all the children in her neighborhood. She was a shining example to others by her willingness to share God's love, compassion and kindness to others.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by:
son: Gerald "Jerry" Brammer
granddaughter: Whitney Nicole Johnson
eight siblings: Evelyn Miller, Joann Pauley, Mary Campbell, Betty Conway, Madelyn Bowles, Jim Friend, Bobby Friend and David Friend

She is survived by:
two special daughters: Tammy (Phillip) Johnson and Kim (Darrell) McFann both of Ironton, Ohio
the light of her life, grandson: Corey (Kristen) Belville of Huntington, WV
two great grandchildren: Kaylen and Carter Belville of Huntington, WV
sister: Helen Lumsden of Georgia

Funeral services will be 1:00 P..M. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Central Christian Church, 1541 S 7th St, Ironton, OH, with Minister Willie Purdee officiating. A committal service and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The Brammer family will receive friends Thursday, 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
