Paul Coultre' Howell was called to be with our Lord on Sunday evening, February 8, 2009 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. at The South Fulton Medical Center. He was the son of the late Mr. Whitaker Howell and Mrs. Dorothy M. Howell.

Paul attended Southwest High School, now Jean Childs Middle School, and graduated from Therrell High School, later taking classes at Georgia State College.

He loved spending time with his mother, attending Wheat Street Baptist Church, shopping, and even doctor appointments with her. He had a keen mind for remembering events, dates and other data as he studied the Atlas, other books, newspapers and other current periodicals. His uncle, who lived in Virginia stated "Paul knew more about the state of Virginia than he did, and he lived there." He went to class almost daily with an outreach program and sometimes presided on programs of special occasions.

Paul was employed by the Marriott and received numerous certificates and commendations for various programs he participated in over the years and was awarded a plaque during a special program there.

He loved his church, being baptized by Rev. William Borders at the age of seven, serving as a junior usher, attending church school, and being a member of the Ushers class.

Coultre' will be remembered by his mother, Dorothy, brother Whitaker, Jr., aunts Ophelia Peters, Washington D.C. and Muriel Zeigler, Atlanta, GA; Rebecca Wooden and Carlene Wooden of Virginia, and Evelyn Thompson, Nashville, TN; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He loved his landlady, Mrs. Stephens.
