BOUNTIFUL -- Loyd Jackson Barlow, age 89, lifelong resident of Bountiful, died Wednesday, August 21, 2002 due to complications following pneumonia.

He was born July 22, 1913 to W. Walter and Olive Layton Barlow. He married Nelda Barber in the Salt Lake Temple on July 3, 1934. Nelda preceded him in death October 2, 1984. Loyd was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as counselor in a bishopric, High Priest group leader, Young Men President, and Scout Leader. He served in the U.S. Navy World War II. He enjoyed his occupations in real estate and R.V. sales, being owner of several "Barlow R.V. Sales" in Utah and Arizona. He loved to travel, but his greatest delight was his family.

He married Eleanor Jost Isakson on March 18, 1986.

He is survived by Eleanor; three sons, Richard Barlow (Ruth Ann), David Barlow, Kent Barlow; one daughter, Carolee Barlow Dean (Donnell); step-children, Connie Allen (David), Scott Isakson (Carrie), and Kristine King (David); 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by brothers LaMar Barlow (Thelma) and William Barlow (Loujean) of Bountiful. Preceded in death by first wife, Nelda; brothers, Charles and Layton Barlow.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 26, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stone Creek Ward Chapel, 1475 North 300 West, Bountiful. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and again Monday morning from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
