Bruce W. Watson, age 90, of Buckingham, Florida passed away on December 5th, 2018, in his home surrounded by his family. Bruce was born in Williston, Florida on January 23, 1928, to Pastor James Thomas Watson & Mary Eleanor Hester Watson. Bruce retired from the United Telephone Company after 41 years of service in 1990. He was a cattle rancher in Charlotte County for 52 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Mary “Barbara” Watson; his son Greg Watson of Buckingham, Florida; daughters Sharon (Don) Huber of Buckingham, Florida and Karen (John) Myers of Buckingham, Florida; and his three grandchildren Austyn Hodges, Johnnie Myers, and Nicole Myers; also a great-grandson, Jeremy Hodges. He is preceded in death by his brother James T. Watson; and sister Emma Jane Watson.
Services will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913 on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Cir, Fort Myers, Florida (c/o Hope Hospice - Lehigh Acres, FL).
