Ruthaleen A. Mleziva, age 91, formerly of 1325 N. 8th Street, Manitowoc passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Care Partner Assisted Living, Manitowoc.
Ruthaleen was born on March 27, 1921 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Teteak) Kozlovsky. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1939. On April 19, 1947 she married Lester J. Mlezvia at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1984. Ruthaleen worked part-time for Van’s Liquor and Al’s Floral in Manitowoc. She was also a former member of St. Paul Parish Women.
Survivors include one granddaughter: Jennifer Barbarosa, Michigan. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Elizabeth Bordeaux; five sisters and five brothers-in-law: Loretta and John Shallue, Madrene and Earl Hynek, Elaine and Bud Eber, LaVerne and Ralph Thielen, Germaine and Dan Jarosh.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 .m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
