Eileen M. Matte, age 54, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc County, died Thursday evening, Aug. 5, 2004, at her residence.
A memorial service led by Mr. Paul Gleichner will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Cremation will have taken place.
Eileen was born March 7, 1950, in Manitowoc County, daughter of Shirley Wilson-Doubek and the late Eugene Wiltman. On July 11, 1966, she married Robert A. Matte in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1987. Eileen was an avid volunteer of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and was currently attending Lakeshore Technical College.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law:. Anthony and Jennifer Matte, Newton; a daughter and son-in-law: Vicki and Marvin Dahm, Brookfield; two granddaughters: Ashley and Crystal: her mother: Shirley Doubek, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Kathy and Paul Grosstueck, Two Rivers; and Renee Doubek, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert and Nancy Wiltman, Manitowoc; and Dan and Cindy Doubek, Green Bay. Eileen is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by an infant son.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
