Sam McCoy, age 51, of 8107 Hwy. 147, Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Friday morning, Aug. 20, 2004 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. The Rev. Scott Stevens will officiate at the service. Cremation has taken place.
Sam was born March 7, 1953 in Two Rivers, a son of the late Eugene and Marcella (Romdenne) McCoy. He attended school in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1971. On July 23, 1971, he entered the U.S. Navy and served his country until Jan. 24, 1973. Sam owned and operated "Sam's Trans." trucking company for a number of years, and later worked as a dispatcher for LeClair Trucking of Two Rivers. He was employed at Vinton Construction Co. of Manitowoc, at the present time. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include one brother: Tim (Karin) McCoy, Two Rivers; two nieces and a nephew: Samantha Jo, Tim Jr., and Jessica Jasmin; one uncle and two aunts: Joseph (Ardis) Romdenne, Sr., Two Rivers; Lucille (Eric) Enneper, Manitowoc; and Mary Jane Taylor, Two Rivers; many cousins and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapel after 6 p.m. Friday, until the time of service at 7 p.m.
