(1920 - 2003)

Lily J. Novak, age 83, formerly of Antigo and Pearson, Wis., died Thursday evening, May 22, 2003, at North Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Lily was born Jan. 17, 1920 in Tigerton, daughter of the late Frederick and Julia Marquardt Kelm. She served in the Women's Army Auxiliary during World War II. On Sept. 14, 1946, she married Maurice (Red) Novak in Antigo. He preceded her in death in 1991. Lily was employed by the Antigo School District until her retirement in 1982. She and her husband retired to their home on Rollingstone Lake in Pearson.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Julie and David Landenberg, Lupton, Mich.: Barb and James Schweitzer, Two Rivers; four grandchildren: Ken (Gaye) Landenberg; Barb (Anthony) Teeple; Lisa and Laura Schweitzer; two great-grandchildren: Jeremy and Austin Teeple.

According to her wishes, Lily will be cremated and there will be no memorial service.

Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the Novak family will funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Mike Hoftiezer, Dr. Thayer, and the staffs of Harmony House, Two Rivers, Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, and North Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, for helping Lily through her final years.
