Milton (Milt) Perron, age 75, of 212 Hoover St., Whitelaw, passed away Tuesday night, Nov. 30, 2004 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley, with cremation to follow.

Milt was born Nov. 15, 1929 in Kingsford; Mich., a son of the late Ralph and Sophia (Glovacki) Perron. He attended Garden Village Grade School in Kingsford, Mich., and graduated in 1949 from Escanaba High School. Milt entered the U.S. Army on March 29, 1951 and served in Germany during the Korean Conflict as a Cadry, instructing the M1 gun. He also attended Officer Candidate School and was honorably discharged on March 18, 1953. Milt married Marilyn Sousek on Dec. 29, 1951 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Milt worked as manager of the Kewaunee Red Owl Store. assistant manager of the Two Rivers Red Owl Store, owned and operated the Algoma Red Owl Store, and retired as store manager of the Whitelaw Sausage Co. in 1989. Mr. Perron served as lector, trustee, and secretary of St. Michael's Catholic Parish in Whitelaw; he was active with Cursillo in the 1960s and 1970s; and served as secretary of the Algoma Lions Club. Milt was also elected to the Valders Board of Education where he served as treasurer. He loved the outdoors; he owned and operated a Christmas Tree Farm in Taylor County from 1984 to 1998; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved traveling with his wife after retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn; daughter and son-in-law: Cynthia (Richard) Jones of Two Rivers; son: Michael Perron of Brillion; son and daughter-in-law: James (Ann) Perron of Whitelaw; and daughter and son-in-law: Theresa (Michael) Gretz of Brillion; three granddaughters: Jennifer Perron, Renee Jones and Rachel Wegehaupt; four grandsons: Matthew Perron, Jacob Perron, Richard Gretz and Randy Gretz and his wife, Erica. He is further survived by one brother: Edward Perron, Two Rivers; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Kathryn Perron, Gladstone, Mich.; Kathleen and Kenneth Brendemuehl, Lillian and Donald Steinhauer, all of Two Rivers; special nephew: Kent (Teresa) Brendemuehl, Two Creeks; aunts, other nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Mary Sousek; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Francis Perron and Marc (Verna) Perron; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Raymond (Dolores) Sousek and Donald Sousek.

Relatives and friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Manitowoc, after 9 a.m. on Saturday until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.

The Perron family extends a special thank you to Dr. Thayer and Karen, respiratory therapy and staff of 3 East at Aurora Medical Center, VNA Respiratory Homecare and VNA Hospice, especially Robbie and Misty for the excellent care and compassion extended to Milt. Also, a very special thank you to the Rev. Gerald Foley and Deacon Paul Kieffer of Holy Innocents Parish for their consoling words, prayers and visits.
