Mrs. Anna Zander, 89, of 2316 - 14th St., Two Rivers, widow of former City Councilman Arnold Zander, who died Aug. 30, died at a Manitowoc hospital Monday night where she was a patient a short time.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, under the auspices of the Christian Science Society. The reader will be Irwin Fanta of Manitowoc. Cremation will follow.

Mrs. Zander, nee Anna Scheuer, was born Jan. 20, 1870 in the Town of Mishicot. For some time she was employed in the general store at Mishicot, conducted by her late brother, Joseph Scheuer. She was married to Arnold Zander at Two Rivers Sept. 28, 1893. She was a longtime member fo the Ladies Charitable Asn. Of Two Rivers, the Two Rivers chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the First Church of Christ, Boston, Mass.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George Bean of San Diego, Calif., and Miss Bernice at home; three sons, Gerald S. of Milwaukee, Arnold S. of Washington, D.C., and Eugene J. of Silver Spring, Md.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A daughter, Edith, preceded her in death 13 years ago.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
