Joseph Niespodziany, aged 70, of 734 North Cleveland avenue, died at 9:30 o'clock Thursday night in his home following seven years' illness of diabetes.
He was born in Poland, Feb. 13, 1866 and married Miss Marianna Kubiak there in 1885, coming to South Bend with her from that country 47 years ago.
She died 16 years ago and later he married Mrs. Anna Gadacz in St. Stanislaus B M Roman Catholic Church.
She died seven years ago.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Frances Mincinski, Mrs. Joseph Lahey, Mrs. Martha Ryback and Miss Lucille Niespodziany; a son, John Niespodziany; a brother, Valentine Niespodziany , and eight grand-children, all in South Bend.
The body may be viewed in the home.
The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning from St. Stanislaus B. M. church with Rev. Boleslaus J. Sztuczko, C. S. C, pastor, chanting the high requiem mass.
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Polish cemetery.
