Funeral services for Roy Davis, 69, of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Roy was born on January 25, 1950 in Leesville. He passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He retired from the Louisiana Department of Corrections as a Captain with 20 years of service. He then went on to work 5 years with the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office. He loved to hunt and fish, but his greatest passion was his children and grandchildren. He loved telling stories and jokes and cooking for people. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents: Hiram & Lottie Mancil Davis; His Daughter: Tonia Rae Davis; His Brother: Adolph Davis
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years Gloria Davis, His Children: Brenda Beall (Larry), Darin Davis (Brenna), Justin Davis (Michelle), Alan Davis (Heather), Dylan Davis (Staci), Chelsea Davis (Josh); 11 Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Two Sisters: Narlene O’Neal and Shirley O’Neal.
Pallbearers will be the Department of Corrections Honor Guard.
