HENRY GRANTMAN PASSES AWAY FROM HEART FAILURE AT HIS HOME IN LOMIRA
Henry Grantman, one of the leading merchants of Lomira, and a man who is well known through the entire couuty, died at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening of heart failure, after an illness of two years' duration.
Mr. Grantman was born in Indiana, July 28, 1860 and came with his parents to Ashford, this county, in early youth. In 1884 he married Miss Julia Steiner.
Mr. and Mrs. Grantman lived on a farm in the town of Byron for thirteen years. They then moved to Eden, where Mr. Grantman owned a general store for seven years. He then came to Lomira, where he owned a general store, elevator and potato house. He sold the store las summer to Wolf & Jagow.
Mr. Grantman is survived by a widow and eight children. Mrs. Wm. Abe Sister Bay; Anna, Clara, Alma, Lillian, Henry, John and Harold at home; four sisters, Mrs. Wm. Voight and Mrs. Fred Waege, Lomira; Mrs. Wm. Winter, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Frank Hayes, Elwood Corners; and two brothers, Fred Grandman and Wm. Grandman, Lomira.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house and from Salem Evangelical church at 2:30. The Reverends G.N. Reichart and L.F. Kiekhoefer of Fond du Lac will officiate. Burial will be at Elwood Corners in the cemetery adjoining the Ebenezer Evangelical church.
