Charles Edmonds Malone was born on November 30, 1898 in Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Henry Parker Malone (1863–1929) and Susan Ellen (Fuqua) Malone (1867–1937).
He was married as the 1st husband of Lavada Bell Moore (1898–1995) on November 26, 1920 in Davidson County, and she was the daughter of Samuel Phillip Moore (1855–1940) and Laura (Minick) Moore (1868–1909). {Lavada was married 2nd to Arthur Franklin Banks (1899–1961).}
A self-employed farmer living at 1090 Murfreesboro Road in Nashville, Davidson County, Charles was 49 years old and married when he died on February 25, 1948 of a pulmonary embolus due to thrombophlebitis at Protestant Hospital. Burial was two days later in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashville.
