Marcia Lee (Marcotte) Bailey, 71, died February 20,2019 at her home in Cimarron, Kansas.k
She proclaimed Jesus as her Lord and Savior and we rest with the assurance that she is in His presence. She was easily described as a very strong and caring woman with a contagious laugh. Over her lifetime she cared for several family members and dedicated her life helping others through reflexology and substitute teaching in surrounding schools.

Marcia was born in Garden City, Kansas on January 8, 1948 to Leo and Marcella (Gosselin) Marcotte. Marcia was a devoted wife to Gary Bailey. They married September 18, 1971 until his death on June 28, 2011.

She was a mother to 3 sons and their wives: Gary and Astrid Bailey, Neal and April Bailey, John and Candi Bailey. She was a grandmother to 9 grandchildren: Hunter, Samarah, Courtney, Tanner, Brooke, Cecil, Silas, Kennedy and Elsie. She was sister to 4 siblings and their spouses; Phyllis and Clyde Farris, Vincent (deceased) and Elaine Marcotte, Lois and Richard Green and Francis and Judy Marcotte.

Marcia was a resident of Cimarron for almost 50 years where almost everyone knew her. She loved to travel, try new foods, cook, crochet, paint, garden, sew, and play any type of card games. It was later in life that she developed health issues, and in May of 2018 was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable cancer. She fought hard and the companionship of her close friend Jim Barnes was a tremendous support. She had many friends alwlays asking about her condition. It was a blessing to have loving family members visiting in the final months. The family is grateful for the love and support from family, friends and the community.

Rosary will be on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church in Ingalls, Kansas with Fr. James E. Baker presiding. Memorials to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 446, Cimarron, Kansas. 67835.
