Aletha Renee Stafford Chapman was born on April 9, 1977, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jacqueline and Gary Stafford. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Aletha graduated from Northwest High School in 1995 and attended The Ohio State University. While in college she worked at Bank One as a customer service agent. She was a highly engaged parent who served as an aide in her children's school and often volunteered her services wherever she saw a need. She had an entrepreneurial spirit that enabled her to launch Amari's Empire, which was a health and beauty care business.
Aletha was a devoted mother, wife, daughter and friend. She was always in tuned to the gifts of her children and made every effort to help them excel and live out their aspirations. She made it clear to them that anything is possible with the right mindset and attitude. Aletha's kind heart, open arms and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandmother, Geneva Lamar, paternal grandparents William and Thelma Furr, maternal grandparents Carl D. Jones Sr. and Ruby Mae Jones.
