Ellen Rebecca Pollard Flint was the daughter of George Pollard (1790-1849) and his wife Rebecca Punchard (1792-1824) of Hallowell, Maine. On November 27, 1845 at Salem, Mass., she married Simeon Flint. The couple settled in Salem and raised seven children: George Benjamin (b. 1846), Charles Henry (b. 1848), Edward Winchester (b. 1850), Albert Stowell (b. 1853), William Cornelian (b. 1855), Mary Ellen (b. 1857), and Arthur Pollard (b. & d. 1860). Sadly, Ellen Flint was survived only by her son Albert.
