Edson Moore Allen, 69, died at his home on Friday, May 24. Born in Harwich Port, he was a son of Reuben T. and Sarah L. (Baxter) Allen. He was a member of Washington Lodge, A. F. and A. M., in Warren, R. I., and a life member of Royal Arch Chapter, also of Warren. Surviving besides his widow, Mrs Georgia E. (Plummer), are a son, Clarence S. of Waterbury, Conn.; two grandchildren, Robert E. and Anna Allen, one nephew and two nieces. Mr Allen, after retiring four years ago from the main Express office of the New York, New Haven and Hartford railroad in Waterbury, returned to the family home on Main street, where he had been spending the summers, and became a permanent resident of the village. Funeral services were held at his home Sunday afternoon. Rev Willard A. Page officiated, followed by a Masonic service. Burial was in the West Dennis cemetery.
