Aaron “Lawrence” Call, age 70, of Wilkesboro took his journey home to be with his Lord & Savior on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Wilkes County on February 26, 1948, the son of the late Everette & Louise Brown Call. During his career, Lawrence worked for Holly Farms and then later at Tyson Foods. He was a faithful member at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, where he loved to sing for the Lord and lead the choir. Lawrence was also an avid golfer and loved being outdoors, especially turkey hunting. He had a great love for his family as a husband, father, brother, and friend to all. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Conley & Clinton Call; and sisters Florene York & Virginia Byrd.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years Lynette Carol Keys Call of the home; son Eric Call of Spruce Pine; god grandchild Michaela Todd; sister Betty Anderson of N. Wilkesboro; sister-in-laws Grace Call of N. Wilkesboro & Joann Call of Atlanta; brother-in-laws Reggie York of N. Wilkesboro & Rayvaughn Byrd of Elkin; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Sherrill Welborn & Rev. Jeff Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Barry Byrd & Rev. Mickey York handling the committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Grove Baptist Church – Music Department at 6165 NC Highway 16 S
Moravian Falls, NC 28654.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
