"Mrs Ellen Shay Donaghy, 72, widow of James Donaghy, died at 12:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Mrs Donaghy was born in November, 1863. Her husband preceded her in death in January, 1928. The deceased is survived by three daughters, Miss Clare Donaghy and Mrs Mary McNerney of Erie, and Mrs Helen Power of Oil City; three sons, John A Donaghy and Joseph F Donaghy of Oil City, and James F Donaghy of Sackett; three sisters and one brother, Miss Margaret Shay and Mrs Anna Conny of Tulsa, Okla, Mrs Theresa Murphy [of] Toledo, Ohio, and John Shay of Fremont, Ohio. High mass of requiem will be celebrated at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning in St Joseph's church. Burial will be in old St Joseph's cemetery."
