Resident of Pleasanton, CA
Mar. 9, 1930 - Sep. 24, 2018
Robert "Bob " Adams was taken Home by Jesus on September 24, 2018. He lived a long and honorable life; some would say he died from a broken heart.
Dad was fortunate enough to have two women to love and who loved him. The first was Barbara Jean Adams and the last was Donna "Dee" Adams. He is survived by his two families including his four sons and two daughters (Don, Dave & Doug Adams, Henry & Delinda Pacheco & Kim Miller).
He was born in "American Tank" Humboldt County where he lived until he was 8 years old. He came from humble beginnings - his first bed was a dresser drawer in the home where he was born. His father died when he was 9 months old which made him value the importance of being a father. He later moved to Oakland with his mother and lived in Alameda County for 80 years. He served in the US Navy before becoming an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW Local #595 for too many years to count.
Dad had a kind spirit and a friendly, positive attitude towards everyone. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His legacy is those he left behind. He is now fishing a riffle on a trout stream in Heaven.
Friends of Bob and the family are invited to share a toast and/or story at the Celebration of Life which will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Highland Oaks Recreation Center, 4530 Sandalwood Lane, Pleasanton.
