Lavonna H. “Bonnie” Wykle, 84, of Talcott formerly of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord Tuesday February 26, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Born August 9, 1934 in Summers Co. she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Russell and Anel Alvis Harvey Bennett. Bonnie was a member of the Rollynsburg Baptist Church, former receptionist for the Summers Co. Council on Aging. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and caring for her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Allen Wykle; two brothers, Finley E. Bennett and Jack Bennett; two brothers-in-law, Benny Dale Houchins and Lionel Hatcher.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Stella Susan Gutshall and husband Joseph Mark of Oak Hill and Nedra Jo Ward and husband Dave of Buckhannon; six grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Isaac, Abbie and husband Seth, Torrie and Zachary; one great grandchild, Lainey Jo; six siblings, Marlene Hatcher of Hurricane, Joe Bennett and wife Dot of Nimitz, Glen Bennett and wife Flossie of Lewisburg, Mary Houchins of Jumping Branch, Wilma Anderson and husband Leonard of Nimtiz and Iva Lilly and husband Jack of Lewisburg; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Bennett of Lerona and Francis Bennett of Bellepoint and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Graveside services and burial will be held 2:00 pm Thursday February 28, 2019 at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery with Pastor James Blume officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 1:30 pm Thursday until time of services.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
