On 24 January 1866, Nelson married S. J. Cox [later ‘translated’ to be Louisa Jane L Reed Cox.]. In Marshal County, KY. https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/11540201/person/-435949647/facts

The 1870 Census shows Nelson [31] and Lee J [39] with 3 Cox children in the household [she is the property holder in this census]. Census indicates she was b. in Alabama. There is no indication that they had any children together.

It is believe that Louisa [aka 'Lee] died sometime in 1871. Guardianship documents for her 3 Cox children were found - alluding to the fact that her former husband, Mr. William Cox was also deceased. It's possible that Louisa was widow when she married Nelson

The next record – 13 February 1872 – is a marriage document – issued to Nelson Gallimore [widower] and Lucinda J Daws [widow]. [no record found re her husband’s name]. Witnessed by Wm. Owens.

Nelson and Lucy had three Children:
Jesse James Gallamore, b. 8 May 1873 KY; m. Sarah Frances Bryant; d. 25 Nov 1938 Austin, Travis Co. TX [his find-a-grave site: 5574792]

Later, a death certificate for Lucy GIBSON was found indicates she was Lucinda Jane SMITH. Records indicate she married several times after that. Samuel Gibson was her last husband. She was widowed at the time of her death in 1930.
