Norma Irene Robbins, 97, of Evansville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 24, 2019. She was born December 27, 1921 in Evansville to the late George Dewey and Elizabeth Robbins. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1939. Norma worked at Mead Johnson as a personnel secretary from 1941 to 1953. She retired from the Evansville Courier & Press in 1983 after 24 years as secretary to the circulation director. After retirement, she worked at C.A.P.E. as a senior aide in the foster grandparent office. She was a member of Calvary Temple on First Avenue. Norma was preceded in death by her brother, George Dewey Robbins II. She is survived by son, John Robbins (Jennifer); grandsons, DeWayne Robbins (Christy) and Derrick Robbins (Laura); granddaughter, Samantha Robbins; five great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Robbins Adams; sister-in-law, Judy Robbins; nieces, nephews and many cousins. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with visiting from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Pastor Jeff Edmonson, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street.
