Mrs. Collins was born in Wachapreague, Va., and taught 28 years in the Accomack County and Norfolk public school systems. She was the widow of Carroll C. "Eddie" Collins and was a member of Squires Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Farmville Teachers College, now Longwood College.
Survivors include three sisters, Beatrice Richardson, Dorothy Lescallette and Sylvia Bradley and a brother, Grover T. Parker, all of Wachapreague.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Susan H. Cothran. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Squires Memorial Presbyterian Church, 770 Ingleside Road, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
