Elroy Norman Spletter, age 87, of New Holstein, passed away January 6, 2019 at Caring Hands.
He was born in New Holstein on September 16, 1931 to the late Paul and Esther (Hintz) Spletter.
After graduation from New Holstein High School, Elroy enlisted in the United States Army serving from 1949 to 1952 during the Korean War.
On June 20, 1959 he married Esther Kobriger at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Elroy worked in the Engineering Lab at Tecumseh from 1964-1993.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and the VFW post 10288. Also, Elroy was a member of the American Legion Post 124 for 66 years.
Elroy is survived by brothers, Donald and Lee (Cheri); sisters, Doris Powell, Sandra (Ed) Cunningham and Shirley Blade. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Esther; sisters, Marion Bowe, Marjorie Rozman, Betty Spletter and Barbara Forstner and his brother Paul Spletter.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1702 Van Buren St., New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Azor Cigelske will officiate. Elroy will be laid to rest at Eaton Union Cemetery.
Family will greet relatives and friends at Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.
